About the Exams
Candidates who want to become MCSA certified in Windows 2000 must take a total of 4 exams. One exam covers client operating systems, two exams focus on network operating systems, and the last exam is an elective. Topics covered include implementing, managing, and troubleshooting existing network environments based on Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows .NET Server. For more specific information on the exams and requirements, open the preceding "Exam Chart and Sybex Products" section.
Although Microsoft does not require that you take these exams in any particular order, it is highly recommended that you take the Windows Professional and Windows Server exams first, followed by the Managing a Windows 2000 Network Environment exam.
