Taking the Exam

You may take the CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, and CCIE qualification exams or a Cisco Career exam at any of more than 1,000 Authorized Prometric Testing Centers (APTCs) and at VUE testing centers, available around the world. For the location of a testing center near you, call 800-204-EXAM (800-204-3926), or call VUE at 877-404-EXAM (877-404-3926). Outside the United States and Canada, contact your local Prometric or VUE registration center.

A Note about CCIE Lab Exams

The CCIE lab exam must be taken at one of the handful of Cisco-approved certified lab centers. You can expect a 2-month to 4-month waiting period to take the exam. For more information on registering for one of the CCIE lab exams, visit the related page on Cisco's Web site.

A Note about Cisco Certification

Cisco offers four primary certification tracks: Routing & Switching, Communications & Services, Security, and Voice. Routing & Switching is by far the most popular, primarily because it deals with more commonly used LAN technologies.
