LPIC-1: Linux Professional Institute Certification—Level 1
The LPIC program is designed to certify the competency of system administration using the Linux operating system and its associated tools. It is designed to be distribution neutral, following the Linux Standard Base and other relevant standards and conventions. To pass the Level 1 exam someone should be able to work at the Linux command line, perform easy maintenance task, and install and configure a workstation and connect it to a LAN, or a stand-alone PC via modem to the Internet.
